ONE PERFECTLY PRETTY FLOWER – 24-HOUR PHOTO CONTEST HOSTED BY MY BLOG – https://brain4rent.wordpress.com/. DEADLINE – By 11:59 pm EST on Mon. Jan 11, 2012

Too many flowers

“The splendor of a rose and the whiteness of the lily do not rob the little violet of its scent nor the daisy of its simple charm. If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness.”  St. Therese of Lisieux  found on ThinkExist.com

RULES: Submit your best photo of a single flower (any type) by  email with a Subject Line of:  One Perfectly Pretty Flower to albecoca@yahoo.com. Only one photo per person. Identify where photo was taken as best you can. Because time is limited to take the photos, a wider range of pics could be our winner.

JUDGING: Photos must be predominantly of a single flower, so while other flowers or plants may be in the picture, one should stand out predominantly.

Depending on the quantity received, photos may be divided into up to 4 categories and they will be posted on the blog on June 13.  Then anyone and everyone will visit https://brain4rent.wordpress.com/  to vote for their favorite in each category, and/or an overall favorite.

Judging will be blind, so please do not watermark your photos.

CONTEST IS OPEN TO PERSONS LIVING IN CONTINENTAL USA ONLY, AS THAT IS AS FAR AS I AM WILLING TO SHIP THE PRIZE.

SINCE VOTING IS BLIND AND BY THE PEOPLE, EVEN FAMILY MEMBERS CAN ENTER.

Selection of the populace is final.

PRIZE: Grand Prize Winner will receive one Perfectly Florid (in the good sense) Beach Towel. So sniff up some Flonase (use only as directed) and spread the word near and far about the contest…..and the voting.

  1. If voting is blind, how are people going to see the flowers and decide? 🙂

  2. WEEDS, WILDS OR LOVINGLY CULTIVATED BLOSSOMS ARE ALL ELIGIBLE

  3. Your photos are spectacular, Alison.

  4. Well, where are they? I missed the entry, but I’m not going to miss the voting! And… I agree with Marjorie.
